Nanny!

Well, I got a second job as a Nanny last week, and today was my first day... It was soooo fun!! I watch 3 kids, 2 boys- 2 and 7, and a girl who is 4. I will work every Mon, Wed, and Fri from next week on, for a couple hours in the morning... I will take the oldest to school, and then play with the other 2, take them to the park, feed them lunch, and then go on to my other job at the YMCA. Long days filled with lots of kids!!! :) But today was great, I just came for one day this week to get to know the kids, and ease into it a little bit. Man, I spend 40 hours a week working with kids, AND I teach kids at church...... is the universe sending me a hint here or what!! :)

Christmas!!!

We had such an amazing Christmas.... Jordan's family flew us up to Timmins, Ontario, CANADA!!! (so wonderful of them) Our trip started off at 6:30 pm on Wednesday night, flying from San Diego, to San Francisco, then a red eye to Toronto, then to Timmins landing at 9:30am Thursday.... Thankfully all of our flights went great (with the exception of not sitting together during the long red eye, and having a middle seat with a talkative man next to you while trying to find a comfy position to sleep in without touching anyone). But we landed in Jordan's hometown on time and ready to visit with family.... I had such a great time! I absolutely love my little nieces and nephew, so stinkin cute!!!! And the holidays really are better with little ones around... I just really loved being around so much family, for a quick second I could see us moving on up to Timmins and being surrounded by family all the time.... Then I though about how last week the temperature up there was -31 degrees, and I remembered why I live in California!!! :)

But really..... Thanks to everyone up there for such a special time... Love you all so very much! Can't wait to go up there again!!! Anyways, the trip was filled with food, family, and friends, and a full blown Nativity production! Complete with super fancy costumes! SO FUN! It sure did remind me of my childhood and reading from the scriptures while acting our the story of our savior's birth on Christmas Eve.

So many wonderful memories of Christmas and I hope you all had a fantastic one! I missed my family and I hope you all had a good Christmas without me. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Great Thanksgiving!!

Well this has been a great Thanksgiving for Emmy and I. We started out the Holiday with going to visit my brother Dave and his wife and kids. They were staying down in San Diego with Alli's parents who are serving a mission in San Diego at the Mormon Battalion visitor center. It is always so fun to see them in their 2 kids. They are so much fun! After that we went up to Valencia to have Thanksgiving with Emmy's family and some family friends. It was a very good dinner and we all ate till we were stuffed. Then on Friday we spent the morning recovering from sicknesses that we both had and then we went to hang out with my brothers family again. Finally on Saturday Emmy and I woke up early to go down to San Diego again. Dave and I made plans to go surfing in the morning for the first time for the both of us! It was so much fun! I got to stand up on about 6-7 waves which I hear is pretty good for the first time. The place we went to was pretty cool, it is called La Jolla Shores. While I was out there waiting for waves a group of dolphins swam by and also a seal swam underneath me. It was pretty cool. Well I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving like we did. We are so excited for the rest of the Christmas season! That last picture from the Battalion is my happy surf face :)

Permanent Residence

Well its official I am now a permanent residence of the United States of America! Emmy and I went to our interview on Tuesday and it was really easy. We were expecting crazy questions like whats his/her favorite color and what side of the bed does he/she sleep on but nothing like that at all. I told the interviewer that were expecting questions like this and she said that they only question people that are questionable so that was nice to hear that its obvious we are in love :) Well that all folks.

I Love You Jordan

I just wanted to take a quick second to "gush" about my husband and mean no offense to anyone else's husband but I just have to say..... Jordan is the best! Everyday he gets home at 5 and I get home at 6, and 99% of the time he has already cleaned up the apartment, or did the dishes, and is getting dinner ready!!! I mean how many husbands are there that do that and don't just wait for the wife to get home! Jordan is so awesome and I love him so very much for being the sweet and loving husband that he is. Now don't get me wrong, I do my part, but it is nice having a guy that realizes that I work too and that we can help each other out.... Thank you Jordan!!! I LOVE YOU!!! :)

Valencia

(I have more pictures to add, just waiting for them to get sent to me!)
This past week Jordan and I got to go to Valencia twice. SOOO much fun!!! The first time was last monday, we went up for just a couple hours to see my NANA and PAPA who were in town just for the night to drop off their motorhome (they bring it down early so they dont have to drive it down for the winter in the snow). It was so nice to see them and catch up, my sister Amanda couldnt make it the whole time, so for the first 2 hours we just had a nice double date at bj's! My sweet Nana made the cutest bag of Halloween goodies for us... she's so cute! Thanks NANA! I pretty much have the coolest grandparents ever.... I sure do wish they lived closer :)

Then on Saturday we went up again, this time to see my best friend from high school - Jami! She and her husband (who is in the airforce) plus her 2 kids live in Germany right now, and I haven't seen her in 2 years! Anyways, her and her little family are in town visiting her mom for a couple weeks. But before we joined her for dinner, we spent some time at Lombardi's Ranch in my hometown... It is the coolest pumpkin patch ever, and ever since I can remember my family would get our pumpkins there and my brothers would scare me in scarecrow alley... fun times!

Then we got to meet up with Jami and spend some time hanging out with her before we went out for girls night with Sara and Natalie... It was so nice having a girls night.. it had been sooooooooooooooo long!!!! Jordan was a good sport finding something to do for the few hours I was gone at dinner... We had such a good time talking about old times and remembering how we had the best time ever in high school.... Jami and I were crazy!!! I sure do miss having her around......

Chin Faces....

We have been sick the past couple of weeks, and we have been kinda couped up in our apartment, so we have been finding ways to entertain ourselves, and this was one very silly way... CHIN FACES!!!

SURFBOARD!!!

Well today was an exciting day for me. I got a surfboard! I have always wanted to learn how to surf for as long as I can remember and now living in San Clemente (one of the best surf towns in the world) I can finally learn. I just thought that I would post a few pictures that Emmy took of me to let everyone see my board. I will post more about my learning how to surf nd so on later.

A day of FAVORITES!

Today we went to DISNEYLAND!!! (our Favorite place) It is so nice being so close where we can go for an evening, or just half a day and it's no biggie cause we don't have to travel far ! Here are some pictures of the fun day we had!

Main Street USA! My favorite part of Disneyland is when you first get to the park and you are so excited for the day ahead of you. I could spend all day just walking up and down this street...

The Castle!

One of our favorite rides...

Two of my "favorite" people...
Mary Poppins and Bert "framed" us for a picture!

Cafe Rio- One of our FAVORITE places to eat! So glad we found one close... thought it was just a Utah place!

Well, that was our day... it was so fun being together in our favorite place, doing our favorite things, and eating our favorite food... LIFE IS GOOD!

UGH

Today was my second day at my new job at the YMCA daycare. I was so excited to be in childcare again. But unfortunately it is nothing like Sunshine... (my old daycare). I am with the 2nd and 3rd graders... they are in a very annoying period of life I guess, because they are CRAZY!!! Yesterday after my first horrible day my car got locked in the school parking lot and I had to squeeze my car out and got a nice little scratch on my car... I really hope that this place gets better, cause it is NOT off to a good start... :(

A very long/short weekend....

This past weekend was a very busy one, we went to Utah to bring all our stuff in a uhaul over to California, and do an interview for Jordan's immigration process (which was perfect timing). Too bad it had to go by so fast! It was wonderful seeing everyone again, I sure do love being around family! It made me so sad that we will not get to be around our niece and nephew anymore, and that we have no family in San Clemente... but we do have family in California... just about an hour and a half away...... :(

So we arrived in Utah on Saturday morning and mostly just spent time with family, then on Sunday it was my birthday, and my sweet nephew made up a birthday song for me (and his pet snails) and I had delicious chocolate cake for breakfast!

Then we went to church, had a little bbq with our families, then we packed up the uhaul!!! (fun thing to do on a birthday eh?) We were so grateful for all the help. We packed up the whole thing in less than an hour!!!

Then on Monday we had our interview appointment..... if you ever have seen the movie "The Propsal" the interview they had at the end of the movie to prove that they were actually together and not just trying to get a green card was the interview appointment we had. Well were supposed to have, they turned us away because we were moving away from Utah and we had to reschedule our appointment for a California office....

It just makes me mad cause it takes so long to get these appointments so we wanted to keep it (eventhough it was in Utah) but it worked out since we had to get our stuff anyway... although if I knew that was going to happen we couldve waited til next weekend when it was labor day and Jordan wouldnt of had to take time off of work.... but anyways....

Then we went to Kneaders, had breakfast with my family, and took off to Cali, Jordan in the uhaul all by himself :( and my sister and I in Jordan's car following behind him... at least I had good company to make my trip of 11 hours go by a little faster....

We then spent all day today unloading the uhaul, just me my sister, and her boyfriend (Jordan had to go back to work). Luckily he came during his lunch break just in time to do the really heavy lifting.. ;) I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO grateful for my sister Amanda, and her boyfriend Spencer for helping out soooo much! It was not as hard as I thought it would be.... So that was our long weekend... I just wish we had more time with family, but now that we will have a beautiful FURNISHED home, we can't wait for them to come visit us!!!! :)
