reading bedtime stories every night is our favorite ritual

January was a fun month, I also get together once a week with some girlfriends to play ukelele. We call ourselves P'UKE ;) watch for us when we get famous....
of course there was also our cruise.

Sawyer is just growing like a weed. Every time I look at her I think when did my baby become a big kid?!  She says soooo many words, I can't even list them all. I love the way she runs with her arms behind her like she's about to take off in flight. She is such a joy! We are so blessed :)

Cruise

Last (last) weekend we went on a cruise. Just a little weekend trip to Ensenada.... Without the baby. A much needed adults only trip but I'll tell you, sawyer was very missed. Can't deny that I cried a couple times. It was after all my first time ever leaving her overnight, let alone 3 nights!

We started the trip off on Friday my mom drove Jordan and I to the port and we treated her to lunch. It was hard saying goodbye to Sawyer.
We got on the ship and they had a lunch buffet all ready. We mainly ate dessert. Chocolate cheesecake to be exact. We spent the next hour or two just walking around getting to know the ship. We went and saw a trivia game show which I got to play onstage and win!!!
That night we ate dinner- 2 dinners actually- first the buffet then the sit down dinner. I had beef brisket and Jordan had tilapia and we had more dessert. Melting chocolate cake and strawberry cheesecake. Then we saw the show. It was an exciting start to our vaca.

Saturday we went to port in Ensenada. But first we had breakfast- eggs Benedict and French toast at the sit down restraint then went to the buffet and had more of a continental breakfast. Then played some mini golf, went to the hot tub, and took a nap. Then had lunch and went to Mexico! We walked up and down the downtown street and they are pretty aggressive down there. There were 6 year old kids trying to sell stuff. Following you 50 feet keep asking you to buy their stuff. It was so sad :( Jordan got some street tacos and washed it down with a Mexican coke just to make sure he didn't end up with tummy issues. We bought a couple tiny souvenirs and headed back to the boat.... And made a very expensive phone call back home to check in our sweet baby who we missed so much. She was fine... Barely even noticed we were gone. Then we got ready for our formal night. First we saw a comedian then went to dinner. We had prime rib and lobster, soufflé and that yummy melting cake again. Then we saw the nightly show and then the comedians night show. Busy day!

Sunday we ate two breakfasts again.... Played more mini golf... Played some arcade games, took a nap, got lunch, went to a couple game shows- minute to win it and the newlywed game started to get seasick... Took another nap... Ate two dinners, saw the nightly show and went to bed early as I was not feeling well. Watched a movie, and fell asleep.

Monday we slept in, packed up, got breakfast and relaxed waiting for our ride. We really enjoyed our relaxing trip. Getting to sleep, read, watch tv whenever we wanted with no responsibility. But one weekend was long enough and we ran off that boat so fast to go see our girl :) glady mom could bring her and puck us up! we made a stop at disneyland on our way home to spend some time with her. It was a great little getaway!
