Canada!!

On July 4th we left for Canada (very patriotic of us, yes I know....)
I was really excited for this trip, Sawyer was older than last time, and I knew she would have a blast at the cottage. I was very excited to see family and watch Sawyer play with her cousins! Man did we have a good time!
We started off July 4th at our ward pancake breakfast, and let Sawyer get out wiggles before we drove to the airport.

Then we made our way to the airport, courtesy of my mom. My dad was flying to Vietnam for work at the same time, so it was very convenient!
She was very excited to see all the planes!
We had a rough time keeping this girl happy on the way there, it was nap time, so she was getting super cranky, and doesn't fall asleep away from home very well, we made cereal necklaces, colored with magic markers, played with magnets, and all the toys I brought for her were brand new so she would be enthusiastic about them. Luckily we had an extra seat for Sawyer.. (yay for not full flights)!!!
She finally fell asleep when she finally decided to sit still long enough to watch a show on the iPad....
We got into Timmins around 1 am and went to bed!!!
The next day was filled with pool parties, and a big Hayes family reunion. It was Jordan's Grandma's 80th birthday earlier so all his mom's family came up to celebrate.

Sawyer was a little overwhelmed by jet lag, and tons of new people...
But loved her little cousins none the less!
Jordan and Kelden showing off their muscles!
Very Fun to meet so many of Jordan's cousins.

The next day was filled with the cottage! Jet ski's, more cousins.....

 Four wheeler rides
 "Crazy Marley"
Lots of going out on the boat

and some down time, snuggling with cousin Linda and watching "A Goofy Movie"
Jordan did some wake surfing and wake boarding....

Later on in the week Jordan watched the kids while Cindy, Ashley and I got pedicures!!! What was supposed to be a fun girl time became an annoying headache.... We made a reservation for 3, and when we got there 2 out of only 4 chairs were taken. We thought they were almost done, as they sat Cindy and I and Ashley waited with baby Evan. But they didn't seat Ashley til 45 minutes later!!! We were all extremely upset as this ruined our fun girl time. They gave us free designs to make up for it, but we had a pretty bad taste in our mouths.... However, I was still happy to spend time with my sister and mother in law.... maybe next time will work out better ;)
We also went out to dinner at the Pine Dairy Bar ( I think thats what its called)
Sawyer was in heaven eating her own giant ice cream cone (I tried to "help" as much as I could)
And loved getting swung by mommy and Grandma Special... and she sure did love her Aunt Ashley!! Always picking flowers for her, and yelling Ashley! Ashley!
Then we played hard on the playground, which wasn't the best idea between all her cousins throwing up all week, then eating tons of ice cream, then running around on a playground, this little girl threw up for the first time that night.... She wasn't too upset, just was so confused, and kept saying "yucky, yucky yucky.... ariel yucky, blanket yucky... (as she had thrown up on them). But right after she seemed totally fine, and got to sleep with mommy to make up for it...

The end of the week was filled with more cottage, jet ski, and boat rides....

 playing on the beach
and the sand

Bye Bye Cottage... til next time!!!
Sawyer was much better on the ride home, as the iPad entertained her a lot more, and she was very tired.
We couldn't leave without getting some Tim Hortons!

Such a fun trip! I really enjoyed being with family and spending lots of time with Ashley and her kids... sad Catherine and Keld and their family was so sick :(
I also am very grateful to Jordan. He was so awesome on this trip helping make it somewhat a vacation for me as well. He really helped with Sawyer and let me relax a lot, since traveling with kids isn't really a vacation for me, he wanted me to have a good time too. And I did... besides having extreme anxiety about Sawyer being sick and not getting the sleep that she needed  (sorry for being so crazy). Love you Jordan and I love the family I am so lucky to be a part of :)
Can't wait to see you again!!!!
