Disney World

The end of January we went on a big family vacation/reunion at Disney World!!! It was a blast! We were so blessed to be able to be there with every member of Jordan's family… all 23 of us!

The trip started beautifully. We got there and James' family was waiting for us. Sawyer sure did love her cousins from the get go!

We had dinner at the hotel and got settled in our room. Unfortunately they messed up our rooms and everyone was all spread out, so we couldn't truly settle in until we were in our final room. They moved our stuff and lost Sawyers boppy pillow (I still use it to put her to sleep away from home). So after some complaining they replaced it for me. But didn't score many points with me or the rest of the family as problem after problem arose… But on to the fun part!

We had an amazing first day… tackling 3 parks! (which is quite the feat around that place). We started with Animal Kingdom and had an amazing safari experience. The animals would come right up to the car, and Sawyer thought they were pretty amazing. Then we went to Hollywood Studios, and ended the day at the Magic Kingdom.

Next day was Epcot

We enjoyed test track, playing with cousins by soarin', the viking ride, and getting yummy treats in France!

(doesn't look like it, but she loved all the cars)

3rd Day was Magic Kingdom. Sawyer was so excited to see Eric's castle! It really is so fun watching these things through the eyes of your child.

She was so excited to be in a row of just cousins

 BIG castle

Best dessert there… "Grey Stuff" cupcake at the Beast's castle

Then it got cold….. Real cold… and wet….for a long time… Way longer then the forecast first said.. We were not prepared with any water resistant clothing, or any cold weather clothing for that matter. Except Sawyer, I was prepared for her, but a big thanks to special for letting me borrow an additional jacket everyday.

She loved meeting Ariel. Especially with her cousin Julia

But the best memory was how much Sawyer loved meeting Belle! My video isn't working but I have the cutest video of Sawyer running up to Belle to tell her all about her fork and spoon prop she was holding for "enchanted tales with Belle". It was so cute we did it twice! Jordan was picked as a knight both times, and Sawyer loved telling Belle about her coat, her hair, and Belle was such a good sport and i think she thought she was pretty cute ;)

We made it to the water park where we had a glimmer of warmth and it was a perfect day. It was the best water park for Sawyer… So many fun things for her age. She went on her own little raft ride, and we did a family raft ride all together that she was allowed to go on!

Finally on the last day it got warm again… a little too warm… I love the consistence of San Clemente weather… cause Florida was a little bi-polar…

We went to Chef Mickey's and had a blast meeting all the characters, and eating a yummy buffet!

Celebrate with Mickey Mouse!!!

Then we went with James and his family to the polynesian resort where the highlight was a self serve dole whip! YUM!!

And had a nice little pool time
On our last day we made the trek down to Jordan's cousin Lisa and her family in Palm City. It was nice to get back to the beach
and (after a little warming up) Tabby and Sawyer really hit it off! They were such great hosts and we are so happy they let us crash at their place and visit.

All in all the best was just spending time with family. She misses her cousins a lot!

The plane ride home was rough. Sawyer got sick our last day and a little girl, with a high fever, and an upset tummy on a plane, way past her bedtime was no fun…. She would fall asleep, wake up 10 minutes later screaming, on and off the whole 5.5 hour flight home. and then we got to sit and wait on the runway for another plane to get out of our spot for another half hour… we were ready to get home!

All in all it was a great trip, and we loved seeing everyone. Wish it wasn't so hard to get everyone together at the same time… But we sure are grateful for the times that we have together. (cause it's a great place to be)!
