This past weekend we went to Apache Junction Arizona to visit my Nana and Papa!!!! We had so much fun visiting them in their cute little RV village.
Every winter these "snowbirds" make the drive down from Idaho.... I don't blame them!!! BBRRR!!
We went to this fun little place called "Tortilla Flats" I don't know why it was called that, but I do know it had yummy ice cream!!!!!!
The restaurant and ice cream shop had real dollar bills covering ever inch of the walls and ceiling.... IT WAS CRAZY!!!! People would write their names all over, there must have been thousands of dollars stapled all over.....
This place in Arizona was famous for "The Lost Dutchman", apparently he found a huge goldmine and became very rich and would kill anyone who tried to find his secret goldmine, and then one day before he died he covered it up so no one could find it, and to this day it hasn't been found... 3 people died trying to find it this past July! Anyone up for a treasure hunt?!?!?!?! :)
After that we went to a ghost town (a very lively one, there were tons of people) it was fun to see all the old buildings and mining stuff...
Us in front of the BORDELLO!!! Ooo LaLAA!
That IS EXPLOSIVE!!!!
After all our sightseeing, we went to a DELICIOUS Mexican Restaurant that used to be one of my favorites in my hometown til it closed down.... I was SOOO excited to see it there, and I'm so glad I got to eat there again!
We ended our trip by going to see the Mesa Temple.... It really is such a beautiful place and since my Nana and Papa couldn't make it out to the wedding it was nice to be able to get a picture with them in front of the temple.....
