This past weekend was a very busy one, we went to Utah to bring all our stuff in a uhaul over to California, and do an interview for Jordan's immigration process (which was perfect timing). Too bad it had to go by so fast! It was wonderful seeing everyone again, I sure do love being around family! It made me so sad that we will not get to be around our niece and nephew anymore, and that we have no family in San Clemente... but we do have family in California... just about an hour and a half away...... :(
So we arrived in Utah on Saturday morning and mostly just spent time with family, then on Sunday it was my birthday, and my sweet nephew made up a birthday song for me (and his pet snails) and I had delicious chocolate cake for breakfast!
Then we went to church, had a little bbq with our families, then we packed up the uhaul!!! (fun thing to do on a birthday eh?) We were so grateful for all the help. We packed up the whole thing in less than an hour!!!
Then on Monday we had our interview appointment..... if you ever have seen the movie "The Propsal" the interview they had at the end of the movie to prove that they were actually together and not just trying to get a green card was the interview appointment we had. Well were supposed to have, they turned us away because we were moving away from Utah and we had to reschedule our appointment for a California office....
It just makes me mad cause it takes so long to get these appointments so we wanted to keep it (eventhough it was in Utah) but it worked out since we had to get our stuff anyway... although if I knew that was going to happen we couldve waited til next weekend when it was labor day and Jordan wouldnt of had to take time off of work.... but anyways....
Then we went to Kneaders, had breakfast with my family, and took off to Cali, Jordan in the uhaul all by himself :( and my sister and I in Jordan's car following behind him... at least I had good company to make my trip of 11 hours go by a little faster....
We then spent all day today unloading the uhaul, just me my sister, and her boyfriend (Jordan had to go back to work). Luckily he came during his lunch break just in time to do the really heavy lifting.. ;) I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO grateful for my sister Amanda, and her boyfriend Spencer for helping out soooo much! It was not as hard as I thought it would be.... So that was our long weekend... I just wish we had more time with family, but now that we will have a beautiful FURNISHED home, we can't wait for them to come visit us!!!! :)

Cooking Class!
Our apartment complex offers these free cooking classes every so often and last night we got to go to one! We learned how to make 3 different French dishes. And they were DELISH!!!! We made Croistini's with goat cheese... Coq Au Vin, and Crepes for dessert! I can't wait to make them on my own!.... If only I had all my cookware...

Emmys got a JOB!
YAY!!!! Now I dont feel like I'm such a waste! When we moved to San Clemente, I had to give up a really great job I had in Valencia. I had gotten my old job back at Sunshine Daycare. I loved it there! So when i found a position open at the YMCA Daycare in San Clemente I just HAD to have it!!! I applied for the job on Sunday, got a call Monday, had an interview Tuesday, and got the job Thursday!!! We got really lucky with how fast it happend. Hopefully I will love it as much as my last daycare! We shall see!!!

San Clemente!
Ok, I have tried this once before, and now I am serious... we are going to have a blog!!!! Especially now that we seem to have our lives on track (I know now by saying this SOMETHING is bound to go wrong...).
On August 9th Jordan got a job offer and on August 13th we moved on down to San Clemente, CA!!! It is so beautiful here! We are just a couple miles from the beach, bike trails, volleyball courts, and best of all 25/30 minutes from DISNEYLAND!!! (my fave). We are so blessed!
We dont have any of our stuff here yet, (which explains the picture of us eating "cup o noodles" on camping chairs) but i did take some pictures of our (empty) apartment anyways. It really is beautiful, we are on the second floor -bad news for moving in/out, and taking Bella out to go potty... but good news because we get a better view and beautiful vaulted ceilings ... which really do help in making our 1 bedroom apartment feel much more spacious! I think we will like it here very much!
